I am not the first person to say that this area, the lake, and the mountains of Lake Chapala, Mexico are full of magic.
The message I share with you in this painting is that our paths are not linear nor are they within our control. We have past choices and future options, but the only real moment is now. It’s all related and nothing is a coincidence. Finding ourselves mirrored in the eyes of another person can be quite surprising and powerful. To see that every step taken was not random but lead us to a specific place and time to experience something specifically designed for us. The universe opens up to us with the key, the energy of love.
It is my hope that this painting encourages you to feel love and hope in your current moment, knowing what came before and what comes after is all part of a beautiful plan.
This image reflects the synchronicities that occurred after I moved here. The intensity and frequency of strange and unusual “coincidences” still amazes me.
We often feel inspired by something outside of ourselves and end up on a path we didn’t imagine. But yet here we are, together. I hung my painting here for you to see it and then you came shopping and happened to see it. I hope it speaks to you.
The universe is in constant communication with us if we listen. A pattern of energy that reaches out to us in a natural rhythm. These patterns include animals, numbers, and music. A voice in symbolism only we can hear because it’s both specific to us personally and random enough to be interpreted to fit our current state of mind.

“Of light music, nothing frees us”, are lyrics to a beautiful song by Gustavo Cerati. Music energizes our lives and connects us in magical ways to people and places. These moments of conductive energy have the potential to change us forever.
This painting was inspired by moments full of love, music, and energy. A time and place that was pure magic. Each element represents a place or person in my life that I love. The gifts they share will remain embedded in my heart forever. Everyone has those special moments and locations floating around in their heart and head waiting for a song to bring it out to be touched again. You can see the location of Ajijic represented in the palm tree on the malecon along with the metal sculpture near the lake. The eye of god (ojo de dios) represents a portal in time and space to exist in joy, transported there by music.
I hope this painting reminds you of your own special moments of light music and unforgettable people.
